anyone interested in rear 6an coolant fitting for the 4l80e
I just called and checked on having the rear fitting made with the extention that goes into the transmission. How many people would be interested in these if they can make it for me? The more the cheaper it will be. Its from a sponcer.

Well after talking to vince at FLT it looks like its easy to make you own.
FLT btw has been very helpfull to me with the 4l80 install even though I didnt buy the trans from him but rather a junkyard.. However if it fails or I need anything I will definetly give him a call..
thanks

I found a setup that has the stock rear extended coolant loop fitting that makes a 90 degree turn and routes up to a male npt fitting and elbow if needed. From there i am just using a npt to 6an fitting.
36 bucks...
Worth it for me.

I had a friend cut the stock one and mill it down to fit inside the 6an to 1/4 fitting.. Ill take pics and show you guys. A local machine shop would probably do it for 10 or so dollars... Ill ask him how much it would have cost.

It is a press fit. I basically just used a "U" size drill bit that is just a few thousands smaller than the 3/8 steel line. Then I used a bit that is just larger to allow the line to go into the fitting a bit. Then with a hammer or small press, pushed it down until it was seated in the fitting. The length is important and should be measured to make sure that the extension does reach the seal in the transmissions center support. I usually do all this while I am building the trans to verify that the fitting will work properly.
