It will lockup wherever you tune it to lock up. ~35 MPH is fine.
ET reduction will vary but average is .5 seconds.
Absolutely worth the money. Single best mod for an A4 car.

I think Yank is in Sparks, NV. You'll probably be looking close to $40. They should be able to give you a quote if you contact them. That converter should be about 30 lbs. dry.

Yep, 38mph lock-up here on stock tune and I dropped almost .5 hitting the rev limiter due to the stock tuning

The clutch in the converter locks just like a clutch in a manual tranny. You don't really notice with an stock stall, but a big stall is definately more noticable.

Go at least a 3500. I'll be moving up when it's time for a tranny.

Yes the SS3600 is worth the money, works amazing on my cammed LT1 and will work the same on yours. It will lockup at around 43mph untuned and tuned wherever you want it to. Cant wait till it warms up to see how much better et's I can now get. Shipping was I want to say around $50 to suburban Philadelphia so expect about that since your right next door.

I getting this stall eventually as well......anyone know how much it costs to get one of these installed? also, is a full tune necessary?

oh, you are also going to want to get a tranny cooler to go along with the stall, and a trans temp gauge (know this because I talked to someone who has one, he recommended it)

You can expect to pay $300-400 for an install. A tune is not necessary but it recommended.

You should definitely end up with a PT4000. I swapped from an SS4000 to the PT4400 and it's the best mod I've ever done!!

I just installed my SS3600 this past weekend and went to the track on sunday with it. Went from a 13.3 on stock converter at 104 to a 12.7 at 106.8 on the SS3600 converter. I love it so far. Save yourself some $$$ and do the install yourself. The swapping of the actual converter is so simple, you just have to get the transmission down. I did mine in a garage on jackstands and it still only took me about 7 hours and it was my first time doing a converter swap. You won't be sorry!!

If you are asking me then the answer is no to the shift kit, not yet but in the very near future probably and yes to the tranny cooler. I am even thinking of running dual coolers since the tranny temps are a bit higher than with the stock converter.

I mounted the tranny temp guage in front of the shifter in that little cubby area and I did not mount the cooler "dope" style because I did not use a B & M 24000 cooler, I used a hayden and it was too large to mount it dope style. I mounted it to the front of the radiator and I have not had a problem overheating and my tranny temps have not been over 165 even when racing at the track and basically hot lapping.
