Default Rebuilding a 4L80e??

Ok I found a 4L80e that has 80k on it. What would you guys reccomend replacing for it to handle 650 HP?

Also does anyone know how much power/TQ these 4L80e were meant to handle from the factory?

875 with dual feed direct. Put a SK in it, freshen it up, call it good.

I ran a stock 4L80e with a 3500 Vigilante stall converter and a Transgo HD shift kit. The transmission had about 60k on it when I put it in. With the motor in my sig, it seriously lasted no more than 3000 miles, probably more like 1500 miles. If I were you, while the transmission is not in the car-do it right so you don't **** yourself later.
Here's what I'd do if I were in your shoes..
Upgrade the clutches, pwr packs for forward, intermediate n direct clutches. I upgraded my front and rear bands, sprag, overdrive/overrun clutches and went full manual.

At the very least upgrade clutches, sprag and put in a transgo HDII shift kit

1. It will handle 875hp

2. Install a Shift Kit. Transgo HD2

3. Freshen it up. Inspect and replace any damaged part. Rebushing and seal.

4. Call it good. The above steps are all you need, unless you make 900hp.

I wouldn't ever suggest a stock converter in any situation. 4L80's are truck transmissions and the OE converter is for hauling, not hauling ***.

Oh, he is good from what I hear. I heard from Chris his arm was screwed up and he really wasn't doing much. That was a while ago though so I guess he is better.

You're kidding right? You called Diane's auto? Oh gees. You should have talked to me before that! Whatever you do, DO NOT have any kind of work done by Ralph at Diane's! Just trust me on this. They don't do serious cars.
