what sends the signal for the odometer to turn? i have a 96 Formula i just bought from an individual and the odometer is not working. it is a 4L60E.

VSS same sensor that makes the speed o work if the speedo works but the odometer does not the problem is likely in the speedo cluster

cool, the speedometer works, but the odometer does not turn. i will take a look at it tomorrow after work. thank you very much.
