Default Cooler lines for TH350 swap

What are you guys doing for cooler lines? My car is a 6 speed so I have no factory lines to use. I was thinking about building some braided lines but I need to know how long the lines need to be to reach to the front of the radiator

braided lines will work... I know several ppl who have used them for a auto swap into a mn6. Just measure out the distance with a piece of rope or something to get yourself close, and then leave a few inches on one end... I'd rather cut it too long than have to go buy another 10ft of braided line

Steel braided lines. They look clean, and they are easy to install.

I used 6' of 5/16" hard lines(like brake line) from the parts store. Bent them myself and ran them to the cooler infront of the radiator

Ya all you have to do is go to like Advance auto parts and ask for the 5/16 brake line. It will already ahve the fitting that will work with your TH350.

What I did was just enough hard line to get past the headers, then finished it with rubber hose. It worked fine for me, and never gave me an issue. The reason I went this route was bc the cooler only took a hose. So You can't run brake line all the way to the cooler you have to switch over to rubber hose at some point, unless you get some adapter or something I guess.

You will also need to double the length of whatever you measure. Which will end up being something like 6-8' depending on where exactly you run it to. Bc you will have one line leaving the trans and one returning the cooled fluid. So guess about 15' of whatever should do it though.

.
Forgot to add that. I ended up using about 2ft(4ft total) of rubber hose

I used heavy duty reinforced hydraulic lines, they work great. And for length just measure from the tranny to where you are putting the cooler then add about a foot and you will be fine.

Thanks for the help guys. I just needed an idea of how long each line needed to be before I ordered some parts. Thats all I have left to get before my trans gets here.
