DO NOT USE RED LOKTITE, you will NEVER get the bolts out for any type of repair in the future.

I would go with the blue.

BUMP as I am installing mine today as well too after finally getting the correct spacers/bolts.

I'd feel safe with red, but probably have to heat the damn things to take the TC back off...

Any advice from the tranny builders on what they use?

I always use the red and torque the bolts to spec. Never had a problem removing them. Last thing you want is the converter bolts loosening up.

I always use red, never have a problem getting them back out.
I also clean them, and spray them off with brake cleaner before applying the loctite.

I've never used loctite on the bolts.

This is not true. I always used the red on my a4 Z28 never had any problems. I also use red on my torque arm bolts, which still back themselves out over time.

I always use red locktite on them. Just have to use a bigger wrench to get them off than you did to put them on.
