Default Stall Before Bolt-Ons/Gear Change

Well I got a 00' Trans Am with just a lid, and I was thinking of doing a stall/trans cooler/pan combo before I even got headers. Is it not worth it or should I do that first?

Also I have stock 2.73 gears is a big stall a bad idea or no?

A stall is never a bad idea! It will cost a lot more than headers though, but you can get a better quarter mile time.

I know it costs more, but I'm just worried it may drive bad from what I am reading from searching. And it being a LID only car, with a bigger stall I might not be to happy with it at first untill I get bolt-ons.

a stall makes the car more fun to drive. it is always one of the first things i do when i get an automatic vehicle.

AT SS4000 or PT4000/4400. I've driven stalled cars before, but from what I read on here big stall + 2.73 kind of sucks. Hooking shouldn't be a problem I got rims/tires for that but how long the 10 bolt would last is another story.

I did a Circle D 3000 stall with just a lid and nothing else and love it. Drives normal on the street, but I'm knocking down 1.7x 60 foot times at the track with my DR's. Really kind of a sleeper because the car is so quiet with the stock exhaust. I do have 3.23 gears in my CETA though. I'm so happy with my car that I'm prob not going to mess with long tubes for quite a while.
