I just got a lvl 2 60E from Frank at Performabuilt and I am very happy with it. I received it on my doorstep 6 days after I ordered it and 2 of those days were a Saturday and Sunday. The lvl 2 is rated at 700 hp and the lvl 3 that they build is rated at 800 hp. If you are making 565 I dont see why the lvl 2 or lvl 3 tranny would not work great for you. If you already have the stock 60E tuned then you are correct you should not have to change anything really, just remove the old one and install the new one.

I think a 4l60e can be built to work in your car. I would probably suggest a FLT level 4 or a level 5 for your application.
The trans will not need to be modified because of the rear end. Your vehicle obviously will have to be modified in order to bolt in the rear end. I know that there are companies making that rear for your application so I would think it is minimal.
As far as your question on tuning that would depend on what was done with your computer. In my transmissions I like to see the transmissions line pressure tables be set at the factory settings. Shift times and lockup can be tuned without an issue. Also removing torque management and zeroing out the shift times is a good idea to get the most performance out of your combo. Feel free to give us a call or shoot me a pm with any questions you might have. Vince
