Slick photoshop.

I wouldn't be surprised if the next Opel Speedster/Vauxhall VX ends up looking something like that, since they'll be based on the Solstice (last I heard).

Can you imagine the kind of damage you could do with an LS2 powered Solstice/Speedster/VX220?

Those turbo Opel Speedsters/Vauxhall 220s are already plenty fast. The only thing I'd be worried about is messing up the weight distribution.

As for the next Speedster being based on Kappa, that's supposed to be the case but the biggest concern is meeting the new Euro pedestrian crash standards that will supposedly raise hoodlines. The plan was to build the Vauxhall VX Lightning Concept for the streets but supposedly it wouldn't meet the new safety requirements I just mentioned. As for building the car off of Kappa, the only thing I'd be worried about is curb weight. IIRC the current Speedster/VX220 is based off of the Lotus Elise and weighs roughly 2400 lbs. or so. The Solstice is supposed to weigh a bit more than 2800-2850 lbs. which is piggish. I reeeeally wish GM could have stripped 300 or so more pounds out of the Solstice. Supposedly we're lucky to be getting the car as is though. Early estimates had production cars checking in at 300 lbs. more than the concept and the concept already weighed 2800 lbs. or so. That would have almost been Corvette territory only without a V8.

Ya know, I'm not one for 4-cylinders, but I think a car like that would be hoot to drive.
