Grand Sport and ZR1 are the only options in my book. Stingray/Sting Ray were monikers for their respective generations, all Corvettes carried those labels, not just the top models. Blue Devil sounds stupid and would look kind of strange on a red or a yellow car. I've already voiced my opinion of the SS moniker being applied to the Vette in another thread, and it wasn't positive.

I think if you read this weeks autoextremist column the part where says I think by naming it SS it brings it inline with the other performance chevrolet models i.e. Trailblazer, Cobalt, and yess even the malibu SS. FWIW When GM redesigns the malibu and i goes RWD the the SS moniker will really be what it means, and the cobalt is what it is a rice eater.

I though Blue Devil was a one off twin turbo C5 show car that nobody ever saw. Wagoner is from Duke (The Blue Devils), and Blue Devil was a thank you to him for creating the performance group. I don't think that is anything like what they are working on now.
I vote for SS, btw.

although SS is the top of the line model for chevy cars...something just doesnt sound right about a Corvette SS... and the corvette is the holly graile of chevy cars so givin it a nameplate that most of their other cars have, sounds more like they're bringing it down to the others level, instead of raising it above and beyond.... thats my opion.
...personally i like Corvette ZR1
Corvette SS
Corvette ZR1
Corvette GrandSport
Corvette Stingray
Corvette Blue Devil
...which one sounds best to you?

Blue Devil is gay
SS is for lower end cars
Stringray should stay retired
Grand Sport sounds like a touring model
ZR1 has a great history, but the new Vette deserves it's own label.
