Default X-pipe in place of resonator.

So when i was under the car i noticed the ugly restrictive looking h pipe resonator our v has.

Id like to switch mine to a xpipe to maybe make the exhaust note a bit louder?

I dont want to buy aftermarket cause all the systems out are to loud for my taste.

but i want alittle more exhaust note.

any one one here done this and have any opinions?

If you do a search, you'll find out an X pipe on the V is quite common around here. It should also give you right about what you're looking for. Do you have stock mufflers?

ya i just saw that myself, sounds nice...

wish it was a better vid though, thats just wide open throttle on a dyno so its going to sound louder and its inside of a garage, wish there was a behind car rev vid.

I think im going to order one up, they are cheap and maybe ill gain a horse or 2.

I have been thinking about doing this lately, then gutting the cats if I still don't have enough grunt.

I'm thinking about swapping my resonator for an x-pipe also. Been waiting to see if I could find someone local to me to hear what it sounds like in person.

I got my resonator swapped out for a magnaflow true X, xpipe.. the X pipe definitely added some ***** to the sound with the engine under load and really didn't change the exhaust note while cursing at highway speeds.. i have only put a few miles on this setup but so far i haven't heard any popping. i guess i will see tomorrow morning

at idle you can definitely hear more bass in the exhaust note and burbling with little blips of the throttle.. It started raining here pretty bad so no WOT pulls yet and so far it sounds like a 4dr vette should..

the whole setup installed cost me $155
