495rwhp and 502tq. What will I get my V to run in the mile?

i would say 165-ish. the cars near out weight with that sort of power in the 170's have been cars that launch really hard out of the gate.

Hmm thats awesome if you go, ive always wanted to do it w/my car only prob its so far away. I would like to think I'd be able to get atleast 180 though.

It was running pretty well that day, maybe not 100% up to par, but strong none-the-less. I'd say his car does have more potential, and they were also using a radar gun to measure trap speed that day, so who reallly knows what it ran....

I say 165. You will have to hit 6th gear, and when you do, the engine is going to bog like a ****. I would get some 3.42s in there first

truck motors are limited to 115mph. id say 162.

She is loaded and ready to pull out in the morning. I ask my tuner if we could raise the rev limiter so I keep it in 5th. He said not a good idea. If i taped her up would she pick up ?

Im not all that familiar with standing mile events but if i were you id tape up the sunroof just to keep the damn thing from sounding like its gonna blow off. other then that i dont see you noticing a difference taped up

At the speeds you will be reaching, taping wouldnt help much.

And yea, with that maggie, I wouldnt wrap her over 6500 rpms for an extended amount of time.

i was messin with HP tuners lastnight and the rev limit in 5th was set at 9k from the factory.. i asked around and everybody with experience says mosy lsx cars come like that from factory. hold it as long as u dare in 5th and good luck..i say 168
