Default Our new CTS-V Driveshafts are now ready for ordering

We've been working on this for awhile now and we are now ready to start selling our CTS-V driveshafts.
With the development of our 9" IRS kit complete we decided it was a good time to wrap up the driveshaft design.

The CTS-V driveshaft is 60+" and we just couldnt get high enough critical speed #'s with a 1 piece made from anything other then 3.75" Carbon Fiber. We will also be releasing the carbon fiber 1 piece in a month or 2. There is a back order on carbon fiber tube right now.

We knew that we had to come up with a shaft that was heavy duty, unbreakable and vibration free. It also had to bolt up to the OEM pinion flange on the rear with out taking the pinion flange off for a hassle free installation.
So we teamed up with Precision Shaft Technologies to build the ultimate 2 piece shaft for the CTS-V.
The front half uses a 3" Chromoly tube and the back half uses a 3.5" Aluminum tube. The aluminum tube gives it a nice weight reduction over a steel/steel shaft and also gives it a higher criticle speed rating. Joining up the 2 halves is a heavy duty center support that is a great improvement over the stock unit.
Our shafts use heavy duty 1350 series u-joints front and back.
The shafts also comes with billet flanges front and rear for easy installation.

Price is $999. and can be purchased in our on line store.

I'm guessing the carrier bearing is serviceable or at least replaceable, the stock carrier is not serviceable or replaceable. Also, the traditional U joints are replaceable, where the stock uses the cv that is not.

I'm glad to see Gforce come out with a 2 piece DS solution, the long one piece DS gave me the creeps.

Yes, both the u-joints and carrier bearing are replacable. It's a huge improvement over stock.

Thanks
Chris

Yes, I would say that it may cut down with a lot of the "clunking" that goes on in our drivetrain and since its serviceable or at least replaceable you would not have to buy a new replacement piece of junk which are not cheap or half as strong as this is.

Its just a better all around piece IMO and I cant wait to try it out.

I'm so happy this is out, I'll be needing it for the 8.8 build. Its going to be nice to get rid of the rubber donut after the transmission output shaft too.

Saweet. Was about to have to tackle the driveshaft problem by myself. Have you tested it on any high HP Vs yet?

My 410 iron block, 101mm turbo, and Dana44 should be running by January. You can send me one if you need some punishment tests done.

I'm going to be needing it pretty soon. Definitely on target for December/January.

Just trying to find anyone who's run one of these before with high power. Also need to make sure it will mate up to the rear end I have. (Dana 44)

Is a guibo still employed, and if so what kind of material? What is the weight difference between yours and the OEM driveshaft assembly?

Any updates on the CF driveshaft?

Would be best to get a dimension to make sure it will fit with the 44. We can do custom length shafts.

No guibo or rubber donuts here, we use a heavy duty spicer carrier bearing in the middle and 1350 series u-joints on both ends

Good to know on the guibo.

What's the weight difference between your standard shaft and the OEM?

How's the CF shaft coming along?

It looks like a stock shaft to me. Once I get it back from the body shop I will get the measurements.
