That Caddy is definitely a monster! Those of you that want one should check the insurance rates. I'm sure he's paying more than most of us considering the price of it and all that power under the hood.

It's probably not that bad. Full coverage on 04 CTS-V, 04 F-450 powerstroke, 07 Jeep SRT8 and liability on 84 K5 Blazer is only about $190 a month for me and I'm only 25.

It's ridiculous how fast these full weight cars are though. Damn. Me want.

The 04 CTS-V puts out a lot less power than the new CTS-V, so it's probably classified as a sports car rather than a 4 door family car like your car and my G8.

I did not notice any difference in rates going from my V1 to V2, in fact it's basically the same price (within $25) per year as my suburban or edge.

That doesn't seem right. I pay more to insure my 08 G8 than I do my 04 Quest since it has a higher replacement value. And when I went from a 04 GTP to the G8 the premium went up because the car is worth more. What ins co are you with?

Did I mistakenly post this on Insurance Rates.com? I'm sorry, I was looking for LS1Tech.com

insurance it TOTALLY dependent on age, driver, location, record etc. My v is actually cheaper then my z06....

Bad **** car!! I love it. I'm curious to see how long it lasts on a 200 shot, he wants to bump it to a 250.....

I know he has a ton of mods, but can't remember if it's still a stock lower end or if he forged it....

like i said in the earlier post, I don't remember if he has rebuilt the bottom end yet or not. He said the tranny was slipping. He is gonna have it rebuilt at circle d I think I read and then try for 9.5. After that he is talking about forging it, running a 400 shot and putting it into the 8's. He is around 850 rwhp right now.

Dom,

I believe he already has a stock displacement, completely forged short-block. From one of his posts:

"This was done with a 200 shot with stock displacement forged internals on a bone stock blower."

gnxs,

yeah I read that too, but then later on he says it's all stock.... so I was confused. Several have asked him on the other forum and he never said, "forged bottom end" so I was just confused...

Maybe he is now on a forged... idk...

Still impressive none the less!!!
