Back in the V club after months of searching...
Good to be back in the V club. I sold the V1 in October and after months of searching for the right 6MT sedan, I finally own a great V2. Bought her yesterday morning on 11/11/11. God bless the veterans!
I gotta say, it was VERY tough to track down a low mileage 6MT sedan with recaros, let alone one with my preference for polished wheels and suede steering/shift ****. I had 3 dealerships looking at auctions and searched ebay/cars/autotrader every single day. My favorite local dealership had the one I ended up buying. I initially ignored it as a candidate because I wanted to be lazy and not deal with the extra work involved in keeping a black car clean. I'm glad I went and saw it in person because the black raven looks so perfect on a V2.
She is an unmolested CPO 2010 with 6 speed manual trans, 9k miles, recaros, ultraview, suede, and polished rims. She looks, drives, and smells as new as a used car can be. The only item on the service history report was the wheel click tsb. Turns out the previous owner is a local physician that purchased the car new from my dealership (kinda cool to know it was a local car and local owner). They mentioned something about how he has friends inside GM; maybe that explains the John Heinricy autograph on the strut tower brace.
So far I'm loving the car. There was a certain rawness to the V1 that I really enjoyed; however, the V2 is so much faster and better in every way. The feel and sound of the car takes some getting used to though. The clunk free smooth shifting and clutch engagement threw me for a bit...haha. I do miss the sound of my V1. I will certainly have to get an exhaust system on this V2. In stock form, it sounds way too tame for my taste. I know I've read about it on the forums but that crimped exhaust underneath is just laughable. It needs to go. I'll probably end up with a cai eventually but may do the airbox mod soon just so I can hear something from supercharger.
If you made it this far, thanks for reading my book!
A couple crappy cell phone pics: (first mod will have to be window tint and maybe a clearbra for front)

You were more persistent than I. I found three CTS-Vs with Recaros and the manual 6 but in each case, they were the versions with no NAV and no sunroof. Further investigation yielded that they were test cars from Monticello. I finally yielded to fate and picked up one with an automatic. Enjoy your find. It is definitely a hard find !

Thanks guys. Had another good weather day to enjoy it. Such an awesome ride. I wasn't expecting all the attention on the road though. It seems many more people are aware of the V2 versus the V1. I'm getting tons of looks and finger pointing. Kinda weird and makes me nervous that cops will take notice as well haha.

Congrats & welcome back! Nice car. Hopefully I too one day will move up to a V2 wagon, but I want to keep my V1 as well. Something tells me a V1 will be one of those, "I wish I would've kept that car..." types.
