Default Suede Dash Cover.

The Texas Sun got to my dash.

Went from this

To this.

Glued the dash back together but it look like crap.

Dropped the dash at an Upholstery to get it wrapped in black Suede.

Do you by chance know the supplier.of the material or the name of the color? My mom can place the suede if I can.just find some that will freaking match. Unfortunately none of the shops in my area have anything close so I have to order it and its really hard to tell what the material will look like in person.

For you guys who are having your dash crack, did you use sunshades, or put any uv protectant on your dash?

The one in my old V cracked. The one in my new one is minty and I use a sun shade here and there but I'm about to start using one all the time in addition to having my windshield tinted.

light tint on the windshield?? may not be legal but its an option to prevent any sunfading. or prevent cracking

I started using a sunshade after I read this thread. Then my dash cracked anyway. I use some turtle wax cleaner with UV protectant. My dash started cracking on the sides very slowly then all of a sudden it was everywhere and then the whole middle cracked in half. I believe once the crack started the motion of the vehicle just twisted it too much. Ah well, I have it off (which was EXTREMELY easy to remove, just pried it out with a thin spatula) glued, and I'm waiting on suede.

If i remember correctly these panels arent too expensive if you go to a chevy dealership. I replaced mine to the tune of 85 or 90 bucks.

Mine has been cracked in half since I bought the car. I'd probably rather replace mine than use the faddish suede. I can't really think of any material I'd prefer up there. Does anyone have the part number for this part?

I thought the suede looks nice and its only.costing me.$15 so that is nice. I cam always change my mind and just replace it if it is awful.

Lindsay Cadillac quotes $218!! I guess I'm going to have to spring for it because my suede solution didn't hold out and it didn't look all the great either.

Really? Luke quoted me $118.80 plus $15 to ship.
