Shifter Trim Alcantara Mod
#1
AZN2DMAX Alcantara Mods Thread
Bought some alcantara fabric for another project in the V and had some left over. I stripped the shifter bezel and had a bare piece of shiny plastic but it looked out of place. I changed the shifter boot with a stitched one to match my seats so I thought I would wrap my bezel with Alcantara too. It matches pretty well with the suede insert of our seats. I plan on doing the middle part of the arm rest with Alcantara too. Also the last couple of pics where of the door trim piece that was beat up from getting in and out of the car that I covered with Alcantara. Hope you all like...

Any chance you can post up your steps for wrapping the door trim. When I swapped to black interior, I still have these tan pillars and would love to wrap them with alcantra or a similar black material!

I'm not a real good how to writer but all you have to do is get the piece off and spray both pieces with the spray glue (pictured below), let it tack and then attach them together. You do not have to remove the current covering as I jsut sprayed/glued right on top of it.
Hope that helps.

I love the shifter piece, going to do that this weekend!
I did the headliner all the pillars, sail panel and defroster dash piece in Black Suede and I would recommend stripping the factory upholstery off first, you get a way more substantial bond which is helpful during summer time heat!

Sorry I haven't been on the forums lately. Been busy with work and other hobby (guns!!!!)
The push button is fully functional and it is a Honda s2000 button. It lights up very faintly at night as not not "blind" you but bright enough to see. I know it's just an extra step in starting my car but I like it a lot.

I would think the key needs to be in the ignition to unlock the steering wheel. Dont want that locking up on you haha.
I like the idea of doing it on the A-pillar, would make matching fabric alot easier for a gauge pod. Im gona have to look into this. Looks great!
