Default Fastest V1 pass... Did I just stumble on it???

I had previously thought the fastest V1 pass was this same car with a 10.64 as had floated around for a while.

Here is the same car laying down a 10.53 @130+

Who is this mad man???

poor camera skills, didnt look much like a ten second pass on film. Burnout sounded good but when he left I was expecting a bit more of a launch/squat. Hard to say based on the camera not watching it.

Regardless that is a nice V.

Has anyone yet to see a fully built V on a lot of nitrous? There has to be someone doing this and shattering the drivetrain.

Old news. Now runs a vortech w nitrous. Obviously not a stock rear, and has an auto trans. His name is Yanick Dumont from Canada.

He and his builder were on the V FB thread talking a bit about the build. French speakers and good drag car builders. Even looks like he had the fronts narrowed. I don't get all the effort to save a tenth but good for them.

No, it's impossible to search for anything on facebook pages that are old threads.

It is kinda funny with all the talk online about how difficult it is to make a V1 go fast there are a couple Canadian guys quietly building one in their garage that has been running in the 10's for years with no care to share about it online lol.

Are we sure they're using a 1/4 mile track and not some crazy metric unit track?

Funny thing about online forums. (Not this one) if you can't provide a link, it must not've happened. Like there's not a ton of car guys who don't happen to spend days online detailing their stuff and just actually, you know, build cars...

I appreciate the guys who do share, but the 'online guru' or 'forum expert' is no match for the guy who doesn't give a flip about being Internet famous and just works.

I guarantee that those of you from the Subaru world know exactly who I'm talking about there.

That is a good point, I have met quite a few people over the years that have had some legit builds and also had zero clue of a online community. Heck most of them were like, "really? thats cool...."
