Default brand new OEM alternators for 165.51 shipped

I fried my alternator this weekend and was searching for the best deal available, and i stumbled across this:

http://www.ebay.com/itm/281049140291?_trksid=p2060353.m2749.l2649&ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT
i called them and apparently, they have like 300 on a shelving unit and they are just trying to unload them to make some space. They're brand new in box OEM units, though.

I learned from 54inches that a starter out of an '01+ 6.0 Silverado is much cheaper; then you just need to replace the factory solenoid connector with a ring terminal.

edit: disregard comment as my brain was not processing info at the time. Still a good tip, though!

That isn't a starter.

Ugh, not sure what my brain was thinking. I forget if there are cheap alternatives for alternators as well, though...

Got a rebuilt unit from a shop out of Ohio referred by Webster. Looks like a brand new OEM unit they did a good job. Haven't installed it yet so we will see. $92 shipped off ebay.
