Default 100k mile freshen up

Just rolled 100k on Friday, so I figure it is due time for my V to get some love. Going to replace all the fluids, new rotors and pads. Anything else that you guys think should be done, or you would recommend doing?

This is a real issue people...turned on the ventilated seats in my truck a few weeks ago and crop dusted myself from THE DAY BEFORE. Took me a few minutes to figure out where it came from and I was surprised how potent it was.

Oh and...new odometer.

Ok if you really are looking for something else..

The Bosch Icon wiper blades really are worth the $$ IMO. I put them on everything I own. Actually noticeable performance upgrade. Combine that with dumping whatever you have in the washer tank and replacing with the RainX stuff. Really works as well as the old-school stuff in the yellow bottle. $40-$50 and you'll really appreciate it next rainy day.

Next, maybe pull the cowl apart and clean any leaf bits and other junk out of there to give yourself a better fresh air(non-recirc) experience and then swap out the cabin filter. O'Reilley had them for about $8 last time I looked/bought. Mine is currently freshening the **** out of things from the box in the back seat.

Last item that isn't really a 100K thing but neat - "tint" your windshield. So not exactly that..when I bought both my truck and car, I had my favorite tint shop put a film of the "nano-ceramic" heat-blocking stuff on the inside of my entire windshield. It's "95%" light transmission and you can't tell, day or night. But it blocks a LOT of heat. Really makes a difference in the summer.

I was doing several other major items at the time (heads removed), but at 104k I replaced the valve springs (OEM), valve seals and upgraded the rocker arm bearings to Comp's caged bearings. Peace of mind.

Hurst shifter from Brian, oil/filter change, diff and trans fluid, new pads and rotors on en route and getting a rim repaired from Forgeline so I can run them again. Thinking about doing a cam and the supporting mods, but buying them slowly so I can sneak them past the peering eye of the wife.

I keep all my old used cams hanging around the garage in plain sight. Camouflage for the genuine article.

@Bmylez Maybe that could be sold as some need for repair that requires further parts/tuning. Ported heads might smooth out the idle a little. Probably harder to sell the big grin on your face and the burnout patch in the driveway.

She would never notice the lumpy idle...I kept an extra set of rims in the garage on my work bench, never noticed, I think that I will be safe. Plus its easier to ask for forgiveness than permission right

Just make sure you sell it before you get to 150k. You'll be fixing one thing while two others break.

Fix three things at once...and turn up the radio for the rest!
