Default clear fogs

Awesome mod far as looks. I also installed 5k hid in the fogs. The lexan i used left some room in between the bumper and lenses, so i notched the hole in the fog light mount to move it forward closer to the bumper. Stay in place nice and tight. Had to re aim fog lights way down. I have no problem making some just p.m. me.
The oven temp was 225, left in for a total of 8 mins. Pulled out every 2 mins to see if glue had loosened up.
Used permatex 5 min plastic welder. Clamped down to cure overnight.
Did one side of the fog light at a time.
Followed by silicone to be double waterproof.
Hid's were $32.99 on ebay.

how easy is it to pull the housing? Do you have to take the bumper off?

^^ No, but you have to pull the front wheels, I had to at least.

Just fyi, my clear fogs separated after ~3 months, so I drilled some holes and bolted the sucker to the housing, then sealed it up with silicone.

Mine separated after a month. I plan to try again but I have a smoked set of stock fogs incase the clear ones bust again.

My emblems are blacked out the same way. I bought a 12" x 24" piece of vinyl from a graphics shop for $6. I cut the vinyl to fit the whole colored area, then trimmed it with a hobby knife. There is a nice groove between the chrome and the colored part to run the knife through. I did both of the shields and all three V emblems and had over half of the vinyl left over. I had purposely bought extra in case I screwed up. Having the V emblems blacked out on a black car really makes the letter V stand out, but I'm still on the fence about keeping it. I love having the Caddy emblems blacked out though.

Ok to get back on topic, I love the look of the clear fogs, but I'm afraid of screwing something up so I think I'm just going to go with STS-V fogs. Looks great though with the lens being extra clear like that. BTW, what's the average cost on a HID foglight conversion, and what kind of work does it entail?

Looks great. One of my favorite things I have done to my V. Should have come stock like that.

I would go with the sts fogs too but it's like 300 bucks per side last time i checked. And you have to trim the bumper to make them fit.

I believe the hid kit cost about $100 or so from ddmtuning. You have to mount the ballast which was the toughest part and took the most time, but it wasn't too bad and was well worth it.

FAR AS THE CADDY EMBLEM I USED PIN STRIPING TAPE TO MASK OFF THE EDGE, THEN 2 COATS OF GLOSS BLACK, AND 2 CLEAR COATS.

HID KIT IS CHEAPEST ON EBAY. IVE BOUGHT ABOUT 6 HID KITS FOR MYSELF AND OTHERS. WORK GREAT. THESE PLUGGED RIGHT INTO THE ORIGINAL FOG LIGHT HARNESS.

I DID ALL THE WORK WITHOUT REMOVING THE TIRES. JUST TURNED THEM ALL THE WAY TO THE INSIDE OF THE SIDE I WAS WORKING ON. REMOVING THE FOG LIGHT HOUSING IS SIMPLE AS (2) CLIPS(BUT THERE IN SIDEWAYS AND HARD TO PULL OUT)
