Same Magnaflow 4" tips here. Just welded to the pipe. Super cheap like $75 for the pair.

I have 4" version of this tip. Yes it is just a straight pipe in place of the mufflers on my car. I'll have a video/pics soon as I am wrapping up my headers/cam tonight hopefully.

Can anyone tell me what theyre paying for labor for the muffler delete? My local custom exhaust shop quoted me $250 for labor to remove the factory mufflers and install a pipe in place of the mufflers along with welding in my tips I bought from summit. Does that seem on par or a little high?

I did this last week and absolutely love the sound... definitely not as loud as i was expecting but that's what i was going for anyway since i have cutouts for when i want it to be ridiculous.... as far as labor, i got it done at a shop in chantilly, va and it was 220 total and i supplied the tips.. took about two hours for one guy (80 per hr plus materials cost for pipe and fabbing some hangers)

What cutouts did you go with? I really think I want to do this! Does it sound good or just loud?

Damn i must have a good exhaust shop, I paid 60 bucks to have the muffler delete done and i supplied the 4" summit tips. total cost me 150 because i gave the guy an extra 20 just because he let me stand there and line the tips up exactly how i wanted them.

Yeah I took mine to the shop who's done all of my work previously...Said "man I never done a Caddy and made a reference about Big Money". Quoted me $175 to cut off my mufflers and re-weld in pipes and tips...needless to say I found another shop who did it all for $85

Just a thought for you guys doing it, anybody ever have them leave some extra pipe on the back of the muffler, then swede it where it would fit over a 2.5" pipe in case you ever wanted to go back?

It would only be one quick step for them, but would allow you to cut off the straight pipes if desired, and then get some exhaust clamps

Find a new shop ASAP! I paid way less than that with $70 tips.
