Default Tires.....

Hey guys, I think I decided to go with Wheeldudes wheels, but now am trying to decide on some good tires, I have looked at the Nitto Invos, Potenza Re-11's, I loved the Potenza's on my STI, had some damn great traction for non DR tires, but they were not very good in the wet. So I dono if the new Potenza's are better or not?

What have you guys had good luck with, what have you used....I know there are a crap ton of tire threads, but just wasn't sure on what would be best as to what I want to do.

This car will see very little drag racing, most use will be DDing, and fun back roads and what not.

thanks for your help guys
Chase

A buddy ran a set on his Cobra and LOVED em. I'm running Re-11's right now. They grab great but as much as I drive I don't see me going back with them, they have worn a good bit in 12k.

I would just look for some good performance summer tires on closeout. See if tirerack has anything. I picked up some Dunlop Sport Maxxs for $100 each last summer and then some Kumho R-comps this summer for $100 each as well.

Well, I just ordered some NT-05's 245/40/19 front and 275/35/19 rear, I shouldn't need spacers or anything for the rear should I?

Shouldn't need spacers and that combo wont set off the traction control. BUT if you are putting them on the stock rims i hope you typo'd above and actually ordered 18's.

Edit, just read the whole post and saw you are getting rims and tires. Post some pictures when you have em on.

Will do, I plan to look into getting the rims powder coated a matte bronze color, if I can find a shop I trust enough around here to do it.
