Default H&r question

So I got my wheels and springs and installed them, but Im having a bit of a problem with the front being to low. Im running 245/40/19 F 285/35/19 R and the front tires are hitting the inner fender part where the front bumper meets the fender. Ive searched the forums with little luck, is there a way to lift the front up about a 1/2", or am I stuck with buying some new front tires (245/35/19)

I've heard they make shims. Might wana look those up. I have the same size front tires as you on ground control and don't get any rubbing. Hmmmm

gonna have to roll that fender, raise it up, or switch tires.

Roll the fender and trim the bumper if necessary. Well worth it.

My H&R's lowered my REAR end too much. I have 2 threads related to this, with some good info. Give em a read.
I have 19x8.5 rims with 245/40-19 tires in the front and for the first week the tires rubbed a bit on the plastic fender liner when the wheels were turned. That's since all but stopped now that the tires have shaved down the plastic where they needed to. No front fender issues that I've noticed yet though.
I'd be curious to get your floor to fender measurements to compare. Also, what are your wheel measurements?

A few pics:

Wes8398, I posted in your other thread too BUT my springs also lowered my car too much. do you have the measurements from the ground to fender above the tires all around? Just curious to see how yours compares to mine. Maybe I should call H&R too???

Remember, these measurements are affected by a lot of things, including tire wear, etc. The real comparitor here would be our difference between before and after measurements. However...
My approximate measurements from floor to fender through midline of wheel after spring install were:

Front - 26 1/8ths
Rear - 25 7/8ths

That was with OEM wheels and OEM sized winter tires on it. Subtracting my before measurements in the rear, the H&R's gave me a 1 7/8ths drop.

Also of note is that for those of you taking these measurements withOUT having MM spacers (or similar) installed, you're not going to get consistent or reliable results if you're measuring shortly after driving around. The NIVOMAT's could still me messing with your rear ride height.

thanks, I have my measurements written down at home and will compare them this evening but I think our change was pretty close to the same.

I thought about it but wanted to compare our measurements. Regardless of the MM spaces the springs DID in fact lower the car all around a lot more than advertised. BUT as of now I don't have any rubbing issues so I may just keep it as is.
