Another radiator question
Looks like I may have the leaking radiator syndrome. I know my options for aluminum but for under $200 with a lifetime warranty I may go that route.
The question is....does the leaking radiator happen with all brands or just the OEM ?
How many people are running these radiators ?
O'reilley's and autozone use a company calley Murray or Spectra. NAPA is more expensive and is just rebranded from Spectra IIRC
If I have a lifetime warranty this would be the only time I would buy it again.

When my OEM radiator started leaking, I bought one from NAPA which IIRC was like $20 more than autozone/oreillys but was the only one in stock. It had the lifetime warranty, and I've put about 10k miles on it without any issues.
For the extra cost, clearance issues, etc with the aftermarket aluminum radiators it just wasn't worth it in my opinion. ****, even in stop and go traffic in Florida with this OEM replacement radiator, I never see above 210 degree temps and that's with the OEM thermostat.

I think I will just buy one new for a few bucks.

If you're looking at OEM radiators from AZone, Napa, etc. instead of going OEM don't forget the online coupon codes from Advance Auto ($30 off $100+), etc. Just buy it online and choose instore pickup, so you still get the benefit of dealing with a local store, you just pay less for not buying it at the counter. I've been known to walk outisde and order something on my iphone and walk back in and pay for it 8-D. Fastest way I've ever seen to save $20, $30, $40 bucks!
You can go to BensBargaing<dot>net and search for Advance Auto for the latest deals: http://bensbargains.net/search/advan...520parts/?sr=1
Advance Auto Parts is offering $10 off $30+ (33%) or $25 off $70+ (33%) or $40 off $110+ (36%) with coupon code A124. In-store pickup is available for most products, and orders over $75 ship free.
20% off Sitewide with code P20
$20 off $50+ (40%) w/ code ES123
$30 off $90+ (33%) w/ code HUGE30
$50 off $175+ (29%) w/ code HUGE50
They had a "Ready-Rad" radiator for $118 minus the $40 off $110 which would bring it to a little over $80 with a lifetime warranty for a cheap aftermarket radiator.

I've heard good things about Performance Radiator: http://performanceradiator.com and have used one from http://radiatorexpress.com ($10 next day delivery) in my Jeep Grand Cherokee with excellent results.
Mine failed in my 2004 V with 49K miles on it and was $600 to have replaced under warranty (no cost to me), so I went with OEM instead of aftermarket.

I have a ron davis rad with a possum dent in it. I will say it was a pricey radiator, that said I think a 50/60mph head on with a possum would have destroyed a stock radiator. F'ing wildlife, anyways thats my vote for an alradco or ron davis unit.

Got the 1-800 radiator one. I think the hardest part was popping those plastic rivets that run up the sides and that screw on the drivers side that hold the metal line.
