Default Tremec 6400

My 06 V is currently at a transmission shop after it stopped going into reverse. I have an extended warranty that is covering all the expenses. The car has 58K on it. Shop manager states it has a T6400 Transmission.

I thought all these cars had the T56?

Anyways, per the shop the synchronizers for pretty much every gear need replaced and the warranty company is electing to replace the trans with a used one. The new(used) trans will come with a year warranty. Unknown how many miles the donor car had.

Should I be concerned? Any feedback is appreciated.

Here is a picture of the sticker on my current transmission.

Your paying premiums in insurance and getting used parts. Something doesn't seem right

No such thing as a Tremec 6400. You have a T56.

I have to believe it's a fully rebuilt used transmission and not just a used one.

The 2004-2007 CTS-V came with a T56 M12.

TUET is the Borg-Warner Identification Number. The 04-07 CTS-V TUET 2022 and the TUET-5044, I believe.

TEUT 6400, I cannot seem to find...but the TUET-6450 is the ID for a "T-56 Ford N/A XR6", or the Australian Ford Falcon.

Transmission should be installed today.

Apparently its rather hard to find a remanufactured T56 M12. Thanks for the feedback.

Total cost was $3500. Thank god for the warranty.

If my trans gets bad enough, I know who I'm calling...
