anyone have their starter drag?
This has happened a couple times and my instinct it to cut it back off. I go to start and it usually fires right off. But its like the starter is stuck on and the cars not going to start so I cut the switch back off to stop the starter. Now I know this cars have a timer on the starter that will crank for so many seconds, but when this happens its like there is no ignition for them motor. Any ideas?

Maybe a bad explanation, the car cranked maybe 4 times as long as usual and I noticed it, so I put my hand back on the ignition switch and cut the starter off, because it was running too long without the car starting, maybe 10 sec.? I tried it again and it fired right off. I also had a full tank of gas. I guess it's kind of weird for me when I crank the starter, and I take my hand off and it's still cranking.

Hook up a fuel pressure gauge and try it. It should be around around 50-60 psi. (Don't know the spec off hand, but you get the idea). If its low and has to build pressure before it starts, then you probably have a bad fuel pump or regulator.

At idle it's at 60psi and when I floor it, it drops to about 58 or 59psi. When I shut the car down, it's sitting at 55psi. I'll wait and see how long it holds pressure at 55psi. How long should I wait?

Just got a 12 pack of Miller. By the way when I drove it this morning it started right up and parked it for about an hour. Went to go start it, and the starter cranked until it timed out. I hit the starter again and it fired right off.
Maybe I'm loosing pressure when it sits.

Is your car tuned? I had an issue on my last car with warm starts only. Fired right up when cold, or when at full operating temp, but if the car sat for an hour or two, it would take excessively long cranks before it would fire. Ended up being a tuning issue and something to do with fuel temps I believe.
