I'm in the process of an LQ4 swap from my LS6 right now. I'll post some pics up of my newly fabbed motor mount plates when finished. Crossing my fingers on the fitment, they should work just fine though.

I thought the 5.3L was the engine to use? Isn't that what everyone is TT'ing?

I guess if you consider the SSR and Trailblazer SS to be trucks.

I was just curious as to why someone would go with the LQ4. Is it because they are plentyfull? I'm not being a downer about it, i'm just trying to learn.

Same here, LS6 block cracked all to ****. The iron block is much stouter.

I forgot to snap some pics yesterday. I'll get some tonight after I spray the new plates.

After looking at the pics, looks like I mocked up the drivers side mount to the passenger side of the block but you get the point.

I actually didn't make these, a guy from the tool room at my work did them for me. He spent the better part of a week getting all the measurements and alignment right. I'm still worried its going to be very tight clearancing in some areas, and I may only be able to attach with 3 bolts per plate. Keeping my fingers crossed.

If I were you I would explore the GTO or truck mounts to see if they can be fabbed/morphed to accept the V mounting location. I wish I would have looked into that route beforehand just to give me 2 options. Let me know what you find out.
