Default Oh ya, got the STS-V wheels installed!

(lol at the stains on the concrete from the wheel shine spray)

I had to use spacers all the way around. I screwed up & w/o having re-read the instructions on to get them mounted, I told my mechanic to install the longer studs on the back. Well, you need them on the front doofus.

The put the fronts on w/o really checking, and it was rubbing on the knuckle. So, they took them off & put my stockers back on until I could get a new set of spacers/studs for the front.

I really like how it feels the wheel well, but the fronts (255/45) rub at lock a little and the rear were a lil too wide w/o spacers (275/45, too tall). It looks like when I bought this, it was a 5mm spacer rear, so I bought 10mm for the fronts.

I like em, even though it cost me $380 in parts/labor to get longer wheel studs installed all the way around.

Not bad. You'll love them in a darker color if you ever decide to do it. Welcome to the club!

Also, once you get the tire sizes correct they'll seem to fit perfectly.

I'll suggest 245/40 on front and 275/35 on rear. my 245/45's on front have a little too much sidewall compared to the rear.

edit: Mine is lowered. These tire sizes may look a little different on yours.

More pics later. It's raining today & tomorrow.

I don't mind the tall tires (other than the slow speedo) for the rear. I was thinking of trying 285/40ish back there.

It's interesting when the fronts are slightly turned, you can't get a finger at 9oclock between the tire/wheel well/liner. I think bottom line is the front needs the stock size.

I'll need to be getting new tires soon. The rears are near bare & the fronts are separating on the inside from rubbing. They came with the wheels when I bought em. Sucks because the fronts are otherwise brand new looking.

I got a heck of a deal on them from a San Antonio member for $500 delivered to me in Austin with the rubber installed. One of the 18" fronts have a decent ding in them, but otherwise they're in better condition than my stockers. Will need new TPMS too.

My 255/45's work fine on my V at stock height. Are those a 19" tire?

Im now running a 275/35/18 on all four corners lowered a bit and no rub on anything due to the fact of the Team Dynamic wheels offset.

those look awesome though

Hmmm, too bad you're rubbing. Mine may just barely touch the inside of the fender at full lock but not enough to cause any marks on the tire, basically the fender is just clean in a spot. In fact I think it only hit if the car compresses big time, only happened a few times since last Fall.

You'll probably notice a significant price difference between 275 tires and 285's.

Where did you get your spacers? I have a set of STS-V wheels and tires I got for free I need to get around to trying on our V. I thought I read somewhere all needed was 5 mm front and rear spacer.

Cheers

10mm minimum up front. 5-10mm out back. Just need to clear the trailing arms, but they look good with a little space to them. 10mm will put them flush with the fender.

Looks great!

Anyone try to fit the rear 19" wheels and tires all the way around, IE get two sets of wheels and tires, get 4 rear wheels and tires, and put the two others on the front, so you get 19's all around?

The spacing would be very wrong. To get the wheel to fit you'd need to run a 1.5" spacer and then it'd be way out past the fender.

I love the look of the 19's and the 18's are just OK. I agree that 19's would look best all around, but these just wouldn't fit unless you narrowed them.
