Start of LS s-10 Blazer
Got the old motor out and new one is running on stand . Nothin special, just a stock 04 LM7, with cam, heads milled, new valvetrain stuff. Gonna try the brp headers, should be fun compared to the old 305 in it. Its an 85 s10 blazer, has the old style round guages. Workin on cleanin the frame and underhood up right now. Gonna repaint the chassis, fill in some holes on the firewall, and clean up the wiring
Short video of it running. Sound is crappy, so is the tune. It was pig rich, floats were off. Has good oil pressure and temps so far

Zones will be in here asking about the wheels shortly.
Looks nice. Not trying to nit pick cause my vehicles both need painting but from messing with s/10's forever:
A chrome grille and mouldingless chrome bumper would look great on it.
Or even mouldingless bumper and paint match both.

Here is an old pic before I lowered it and changed wheels
The wheels are flat black coys, 18X9.5 in the rear and 18X7 in the front. Kinda wish I had got the chrome or grey ones, but the black look should look good

The one piece grill will fit the old core supports, but they fit the newer ones better. I had to make headlight holders for it, and drill some new holes in the center to mount it too, but it works. Got a 93 core support Im gonna use while I got it all off so it wont matter now. Its a 93 grille
Alternator is probably the same as Zone is using, its off a 3rd generation camaro(91 to be exact). Just knock one of the little metal grommets out of the ls bracket and any s10, camaro, or almost any gm alternator basically will fit. Can get a 200 amp one off a 99 police tahoe if you want higher amps.

This hasnt went as quickly as Id like, but its comingalong slowly.
Would be further along if it wasnt for the headers, but I wanted the in frame ones, just a little extra work. No blazer mount towers, someone had cut them off, so for now its wood blocks, lol. Im cutting some solid plates for final assembly, should be stronger than the blazer towers anyway. Ended up being an 1 1/4 plate
The drivers side header fits fine, passenger side needs a little frame/firewall clearancing, but nothing major. Just slightly rubs both. using cpw poly mounts and the hummer oil pan or muscle car pan. Happy the pan doesnt hang below the crossmember, its a little above it, almost flush. Will have to make a trans crossmember since the motor is quite a bit further back. Gonna make one with notches for the exhaust. Also gonna have to notch the heater box some, will have to fiberglass it back in.

These

Intended for 94-03 s10s, not 82-93. They only had them outside the framerail, didnt much like that look. Cant think of his name, but the guy at BRP is workin on a set of in frame for the 82-93 years. Also their kit says wont work with blazers, because they are mounted higher. I can cut the frame a little and box it in if need be, but since its barely rubbing I think some grinding will do the trick.

The small one

Got the elbow from the help section

I just left some of the plastic hose sticking out when I cut it to clamp the breather too. If you want it straight, just use the other end
The big one

I took the filter on it and swapped it for a K&N breather though, it screws into the valve cover of all ls engines
