Default 5.3vs6.0

Is it worth the time and money to find a 6.0 to build
a mild nitrous (small shot) motor. Is the extra cubic in. worth the
money. The plan is Heads and cam. Future would bring a blow through
turbo setup.
Thanks

They go faster all motor easier. You want max power, get a 6 liter or 6.2. If you want to sound and run great, a 5.3 is fantastic.

Now, boost? The thick cylinder walls of a 4.8/5.3 block are so thick they resist distortion by a ton. But a 6 liter block will as well for most of us.

The 6 liter makes more torque and HP. 40-60 more HP is typical.

Two motors built identical just one has more cubic inches....the bigger motor will make more power.

I was given a low mile 5.3 and I still bought a 6.0. But, my car is heavy. If I were doing turbo, I would run a 5.3 simply because I have seen so many amazing results with them turbocharged.

Well one thing that made my decision easier was a 5.3 is easier to find than a 6.0, and it is cheaper also.
