No, that's at the wheels. The car is a 1989 notchback mustang. the trans is a th350 with 4.10 gears in a 8.8 rear end.

Nothing real special. this was my first LS, so it was a learning thing. I'm going to build another one to take its place.

You got a good baseline to start with. Id bet goin with a dual plane and possibly even a smaller carb youd see pretty good gains down low.

Yea, I agree, down low. That isn't much of a stall. My last two converters were 4000 and 4500, the new one will be 4400.

Wow, I didn't think to go that high. I'll see how it does at that track in a couple weeks.

I have an almost identical build to the OP, except his has a cam and mine is still stock.

How far off would my numbers be compared to his? I have a nitrous converter that according to Freakshow Performance should footbrake to around 2800, and nitrous flash to 4000, and still on 3.08 gears (yes I know they will be killing my times). And no springs on mine either.

The dyno numbers? Who cares. No two dynos will be the same and a stall converter will botch the numbers anyway. My s10 would never make 312 rwhp with an automatic.

Man , they must have something special going on in the air down under, OR you where guestimating 1/8 mile ETs ? The air around where I live will give a solid mid/high 12 with less than 300 rwhp.
Nothing wrong with down low with a stalled auto either, IMO. I really enjoy lugging through 1st and 2nd at mid throttle. The speed limit comes up really quick and gives a nice shove into the seat. Almost feels like playing with a clutch trans! A cam setup for good average power and a 2500-2800 stall makes for a fun ride!

Maybe he thought the OP meant 300 Kilowatts.

For comparison, here is my dyno graph. Albeit almost pointless to compare 2 different dynos…

-2001 5.3 with 106K when installed, now 109K’ish
-Completely stock internals
-Used/rebuild Speed Demon 750
-Edelbrock dual plane
-Ebay 4th gen SS headers, 1 ¾” Primary, 3” collectors
-3” straight pipes to Thrust mufflers dumped at the axle
-Rebuilt TH350
-2000RPM converter
-Original 2.73 gears

I think I am running into some sort of a top end issue as hp&tq peaks are to early and start to fall off too soon. I just got an AFR gauge installed and I am starting to put it to good use. I will also be swapping out the OEM springs for some Comp918s in the next couple weeks.

Do you have a graph or vid? Did you ever get your carb issues sorted out?

haha, this got me curious, and 1.21 gigawatts is approx 1,600,000HP! That should get you into the 10s right?

That thing desperately needs a cam and some valve springs.

different gears in the rear would make a huge difference in those numbers...

and yes, you are definitely having some sort of a problem. I have same year and size engine and I have 3.08 gears... But mine just sounds totally different. I have 2.5 inch exhaust also.
