Who is running a Wide Band O2 and which one???
Thinking of getting a wide band gauge this week and got a few questions. Is anyone running one with open headers? I have baffled headers with augers and no exhaust. Wonder if this would affect the reading? Any certain brand of censor? Thanks

+1 for MTX-L
I'm running a single Innovate MTX-L like Doug. But I have a "complete" exhaust system. Well, 3" headers (O2 sensor in driver side collector), straight pipes, flowmasters, axle dump. It is my first experience with tuning a carb with a wide band, and it is a HUGE leap forward over guessing what is going on. Having a wideband is a tuning and educational tool. I enjoy making a tuning change, watching the AFR change, and correlating that change to the car's behavior and sound. I am now getting to the point where I can guess the AFR based on feel/sound/smell of the car.
I *THINK* the MTX-L may not be 100% accuracy at idle. The reading seems overly rich. But at transition, cruise and WOT I think it is spot on.
I'd say go for it!

I have used my old LM-1 to tune the Edelbrock carb
rod selection. Wrapped a unbent clothes hanger
around the sensor and soved it up the tailpipe as
far as it would go. Cable is inconveniently short for
a 20' long B-body....
Now the thing I like most about carbs is the low amount
of need to mess with them. So I would not bother with
putting a permanent install type meter in a "cruiser".
