Default ls2 carb

ive been told that u can not put a carb on a LS2 ? is there any truth to this ?
im new to the ls world

There is nothing unique about an LS2 that you could not convert it like any other engine. You simply need:

Ignition Controller and Harness:
http://www.daytona-sensors.com/SmartSpark.html

Cam Sensor extension Harness:
http://www.speartech.com/product_p/camext.htm

Whatever intake and carburetor you prefer. There are intakes available from Edelbrock, Holley and Chevrolet Performance.

I use and recommend Quick Fuel carburetors for most applications and Bo Laws carburetors if you need advanced custom racing stuff.

thanks guys as i said im new to the LS stuff im just looking to make some Ls hp
i was told the reason u couldnt was due to the knock sensor with that being said a carbed ls shouldnt need one ?

Knock sensors are not used. I just run the plugs with some RTV to seal them until I bought a blank one (still need to do )

gen 5 ls2 doesn't have knock sensors in the valley cover. could you run an updated valley that doesn't have knock sensor provisions?

nevermind. I was thinking you were buying a blank knock sensor cover. duh.
