Default A 100mph in the 1/8 mile.??? Lq4 w/799's

I wanted to be streetable In a 3450# car what does it take.??? I have did it before with a 80 Camaro but it had a pump gas 496 big block

6.0 with good heads/cam/trans setup.

My 89 RS at 3450 with a lq4 cammed with a 6 speed did a best of 97. The 80 coupe with the same setup and shittier gearing and **** converter went 6.8 at 101.

Lq4 + ls3 = ly6 not 100....but close (I need to work my 60')

I went 98-99 mph @ 3700# in good weather, so if your raceweight is 3450, you can get there with a similar setup. It was a fairly moderate build. A 408 stroker would be much easier.

That engine was an LQ9, CNC ported 799 casting heads, Port matched Victor Jr., 950 Holley HP, Cam Motion LLR solid street roller cam, 1 3/4" headers, 4000 Cirlce D stall, Extreme Automatics TH200-4R, 3.90 gears, M/T 275 drag radial all in my #3700 Buick.

2440 race weight probably has something to do w that lol
