Default my first 2002 LS1 camaro

Hello everyone,
I'm about to buy a 2002 camaro ss with 93,000 miles on it. The car is going to be my everyday driver. I'm a little worried about the high mileage. When do things start going (starters, alt, ect)? How long do these ls1's last for? Also when I go to look at the car what should I look for? The guy selling the car sent me some pics and it looks nice but im not really going to know till I really look at it.

Thanks,
John

look at paint, ask to take it for a drive and see if there are any noises and how the trans shifts......as long as the owner did his maintanence on the car it should be fine... I mean i bought mine with a 129,000 miles on it and i daily drive it and i am up to 136,000 and still drives like a champ just a little noises from bushings cause i have a a4 and shifts a little hard from 1rst to 2nd

With the right oil changes and simple maintenance these ls1s will last forever, besides if it does blow up, you can just make it bigger...

Well it is a manual 6 speed so I'm hoping it's smooth and the clutch feels good

Just make sure the engine inst knocking and there isnt any slip in the clutch. If taken care of I have seen these LS1's last way past 2xx,xxx miles. My aunt ragged the **** out of hers and it has 250,000 miles and still kickin.

My DD is a 98 Z28/M6 with 178,xxx on it and it runs great. I live around Phoenix and I've driven it twice to Los Angeles and back in the last year. 25+ mpg in 6th at ~2k rpm.

yeah the miles are nothing as long as it's taken care of... I bought mine with 96k miles on it and it has 134k on it now two years later and still running strong... PS pumps and window motors will go the quickest...
