You could go with older Zr1 replicas and not break the bank. That is what I plan on getting. I have some puny 245/50/16's on there now and those plus a Lq4 =

I like those rims BTW, but I just bought a 94 Z28 and it came with a set of the same rims. However, I have a 17x 10.5 in the back... what size tire should I run? 305/40r17? I really have no idea... help plz
I need info on what is needed so I don't scrub. Thx, Scott

Ive heard from a friend that if running a bigger wheel, youd need to tune your computer so the mileage is right. Is that correct?

So the fronts are 17x9.5 and the rears are 17x11's?

I had a ws6 lowered on eibach sportlines with a 1.8 drop in front and 1.4 rear, and i ran 315 in the rear on 17x11, it would have rubbed, but only a little bit, so i hammered the piece inside a bit and it worked perfectly, i think stock height you will be just fine.

I also ran 17x9.5 with a 2" spacer in the rear for this look....loved it but those hit the fender, so had it cut...car was a salvage but couldn't tell that's for sure...lol

At stock height I had nitto 555r 305's on a 18x10.5 rim years back. Solo the tires would rub a little on dips or speed bumps and rubbed a lot more with just one passenger depending on how heavy the person was. I never did the BFH mod on the car though

Depends on what tire you get as well. The 18 305 nitto 555r tires are a bit wider than the 17 315 nitto 555r's.

I have a 17x10.5 for the rear rim with M/T drag radials. About to put a 315/35/17 on there. Question is... What do I need to do to accommodate for them? Suspension, spring spacers, ect... I've never went passed a 9.5 wide. Any help is awesome... Thx

275/40/17 front and 315/35/17 rear have the same rolling diameter so mph and odometer mileage will not be affected. I've been running the Nitto 315/35/17 on the standard 17" SS rims (I realize that the 315s' are to be used with wider rims) for 6 years.

Drove down to Florida from Ohio a few times with them on.

275/40/17 Nitto 555 on front,315/35/17 Nitto drag radials on rear.

315/35 on a 9" wide wheel is iffy. However since nittos tend to run smaller that's a little better but not recommended.

That is only true if you run a different diameter tire. Wheel size does not really affect it.

Default Strano springs zr1 17x11

Just wondering if anyone has lowered their car on strano springs and put the 17x11 zr1 wheels on the back and what tires? Would the 315s fit or rub? Any info would be great

From my experience as I had 17x11 on stock suspension before, I had to cut and remove my bump stops in order for it not to wipe out my inner tire walls. I also had rubbing issues. This was with the deep dish ZR1 style (not sure if they were OEM or not, just know they were chrome). I was running 315/35R17 Nitto NT555 tires on stock struts and springs with heater hose mod and I rubbed like a bitch.

Picture of my old SS with the wheels.
