Default 2001 SS Emblems?

I just finished repainting my Black SS and I wanted to do something a little different than the factory vinal stickers. I actually was looking at some "old school" emblems (from the 1st gen cars). Does anyone have these on their LS1 Car?

never seen them on a newer car but they should look fine. You may want to look into decaling an old school white SS badge

The only way I have seen them on newer cars is on the grill. I have seen several cars with black billet grills that have the 1st gen Camaro SS logo in the middle and it looks REALLY good. I've never seen it on a black car before, but I like it on the cars that I have seen.

Just remember that most of the old emblems bolted on which means you would have to drill holes in your car. An alternative might be to have vinyl stickers made to replicate the originals.

That was my fear too!! and I think they are much larger than the SS badges on our cars. might look goofy

I have a '69 SS and think the emblems would probably look good on a black '01 SS. You can just grind the pins off the back of the old emblems and then use the same tape that's used today to apply onto your car.

^+1 on grinding and some 3m emblem glue. I have 64 Impala SS emblems on mine. Some like it, some dont.
