Default 2001 SS worth it?

Hey I'm interested in a 2001 SS black on black with 11k original miles and 1 owner, but they want $17500 for it. Is it worth it?

Tough call, I thought so. I bought my 2000 ss m6 with 14k for 17500 a year ago - no regrets here

It also seems like a shame to take a nice car like this and start changing parts on and beating on.

grab it! I picked mine up back in Dec and it had 39,000 and I paid just under 14. Scary thing is that the dealer got a ton of hits on, but I was the first one and I had some history with the dealer which helped but the last call was from someone in Saudi Arabia offered an obscene amount of money for it and he would come get it the following week, toooo bad cause I snagged it first! So don't wait!

I saw the car on autotrader.com, its clean and looks real nice, in the end its if you really want the color, I waited almost 3 years to find the color I wanted with the 6speed, it had to be perfect, lol. It comes down to if you really like this car, money shouldnt be an that big of an issue, if this is the color you want, and the car youve always wanted, whats 2-3 grand more? Totally worth it.

It's still about the closest thing you can get to a brand new Camaro for another year or so. That car cost about $30K new. I don't think it's a bad deal if it's what you really want. I still like the 4th gen SS better than the new Camaro anyway.

I bought my 98 SS with 11k one owner miles. It was showroom condition. I paid 18K (in 2001) and have never regreted it.
