Cool Engine Swap 3.4 for LS1

How do i swap out the shitty 3.4L V6 in my '95 Base Camaro for an LS1 out of a WS-6 Trans Am?

It is a very involved process. The best way would be to find a donor car if you are set on keeping that car. What type of mechanical skills do you have? If you are asking what you have to do it may be to big of a project for you.

Do lots of searches on here. This is a great board and there has been a lot of swaps done. Good luck.

I have mediocre mech skills, most of the stuff I do know prolly won't help me with this project. I do have a donor car. It's a totalled Trans Am WS-6 with the motor and tranny still in great condition. I've looked on EBAY too and there's some good stuff. I know there is a lot of good info here but I can't find exact stuff....at least not for MY PROJECT.

Is it an Auto or a T56 Car that you are getting the LS1 from?

if the trans am has a 6-speed its a t56 car. the transmission model is a Borg-Warner t56

tremec is a brand. T-56 is the 6 speed transmisission used in V-8 f-bodys 93-02... they changed a few times through the years. but for the most part are the same.

Yea, that's te Brand, the earlier ones were Borg-Warner, the newer ones now are Tremec.
