We just did one not too long ago from Current Performance, they are who we have used for a lot of stuff and they are close by which is nice.
I would imagine that Speartech would be another good option.

I had good luck with the GM harness kit for my LS2. I think they make one for the LS3? I got mine from www.sdparts.com

If you need transmission control you can go with a Speartech auto harness. Another option is to use the GMPP harness for the engine and get a programmable transmission controller and use this:

I had great luck with my Speartech harness for the LS7. I thought the price was actually very good for what I got. It may be a bit pricier than other solutions, but you can customize to what you want. The quality is definitely there. I also can't say enough about John's knowledge of how these things work.
Are you going to use a 6L80E?

We're doing them with our M-90 controller. Available with Wide Band capability or without. Available with 6L90E transmission capability or without. Two wire interface to a TCI or PCS transmission controller for 4L60E/4L80E control. Also available with two camshaft upgrade options.(535HP or 550HP) All packages come calibrated and ready to run.
With these packages, you can essentially create one of these engine packages.
Mast Motorsports LS3, LS3HO, & LS3SS
Hope this helps!!!

I honestly have no idea what they take to get working, but I can tell you the 6L80E in my Mom's G8 is fantastic. It's got all the gear spread of a T56 car, and with some programming to quicken the shifts it really comes alive. It's a lot smaller and more efficient than a 4L80E, but it's still very strong. The downside is it's still very heavy.
