Runs great with the exception of a cold start up where it idles too low, surges, and dies sometimes. It didn't do it before the hot cam install so I think it has something to do with that. I probably need some tuning. But after it reaches 120F it runs like a charm it is a blast to drive

Nice Job!

How did you drive the water pump - did you have any clearance problems with the accessories???

It weighs 2900 lbs

The water pump is remotely mounted. I made some adapter blocks and thermostat housing. Here is a pic of that. One problem I have seen with this site is it gives me so little band width that it doesn't take that many views until I run out. I guess what can I expect for free so if you see red X's you have to check back tomorrow

It is mated to the getrag 282 five speed. I have my eye out for a 284 but I haven't found one at a reasonable price. And after I have a spare I can be braver when it comes to beating this one LOL. Here is a pic of that.

If anyone would like to see a write up I have on a Fiero forum please check here. all the pics are here

no red X's here no matter how many look at it

I probably do need to get some tuning. I think first I will just get a couple dyno pulls as a base line to see how it is running. Then budget allowing I will get a full dyno tune.

Florida is just a little far away, but I would be happy to show it to anyone in my area. I have had it to a few shows, and it gets allot of looks.

It does pull hard

I have been tempted to take it to a strip, but it only has about 500 miles on the rebuild... I also would like to try a dyno first so I knew how much H.P. I had when I broke it at the track . Thanks for the invite.... If it wasn't for the fact I have to work tomorrow I would at least come and watch.... Sounds like allot of fun.

Nice!

Hey you have a link to that Fiero club that showed cars at the 2001 World of Wheels? There was a Fiero that looked like an Italian sportcar that I totally loved and I'd like to know how much that kit is.

Yes that is Northern IL. Fiero enthusiast. They have a little of that show on their web site. Http://www.fierofocus.com
It is under events then recent event and then 41st Annual CarQuest World of Wheels Custom Car Show
But I bet you are referring to the fino/finale kits. They originated out of England but are now owed and sold by v8archie http://www.v8archie.com they seem like pretty nice kits. They are body panel replacement kit which makes them pretty easy to install from what I hear. He sell the kit or turn key. He is also the one known for V8 kits for the fiero. Not LS1 kits yet but I hear he is working on one???? He is out of barrington IL. You could also be talking about the DL10 which is pear white , and kind of looks like a Ferrari to me or maybe one of the chop top GTs's
