Default 5.3 or 6.0???? Need input guys!!!!

Ok i have the body of my project lsx carb im building now im debating on what motor to put in im deciding between a 5.3 with a cam and a lil head work or a 6.0 and a cam with some head work. Im going to shove the biggest cam i can get into to either one not really worried bout mpg more about performance and reliability. Im going to be running a turbo 350 with a shift kit and a stall. Need some input guys so help me out!

its always been good advice to build the biggest displacement engine budget allows... plus the 4 inch bore 6.0 opens up the head choices and ups the Hp thats reachable within ordinary peoples budget....

a 6.0 with L92 heads and a gmpp carb intake will hit 600 fwhp easy... thats well over 100 hp over what you can do with a 5.3 and the price isnt that different between the two combos

if you are building a z... then you should considder an alloy block just because of the considerably lighter engine.... not a must... but think it over atleast

The 6.0L has so much more performance potential due to the bigger bore. Read the comment about the bigger bore opening up breathing.

The only real advantage of the smaller motor is the cheaper buy in price. But the the price advantage quickly fades as the HP goals increase.

i would undoubtably take the 6.0 if you can get one for cheap. if you are looking to keep adding on , then you can only go so far with a 5.3, unless you decide to go boosted,
