Default SDPARTS and customer service?????? non-existant????

OK, so initially it takes a while to get responses from SDPARTS:
https://ls1tech.com/forums/conversio...-feedback.html
So I get a response and I order a transmission.
Now it takes 4 calls to find out Richmond doesnt actually have a transmission to send until 1/26/09, or so that's the latest story.
But that doesn't prevent SDPARTS from charging my credit card for $3K on 12/31/08.
And the response to my inquiry about this by email..........yep, 2 days later.....nothing.
Wondering if I'll be charged a "restocking charge" for an item that was never stocked, if i cancel now.
I realize SD might have been screwed by Richmond in their response, but now I'm paying for it.
Kinda done with this..............
Maybe time for a Tremec........

If they haven't shipped the tranny you can just have the credit card company back bill them and after you get the credit, have the card company block them from ever putting charges on your card

just stick to the phone if you want quick turn around. I have found emails to mail order places to be about as fast as mailing a letter.

You could also try a PM to the SD guy who responded to your previous post.

You seem to be doing something a little out of the ordinary. It may take some time. It always pisses me off when places charge the card first, but that is what most of them do. Usually it is not a problem cause the stuff ships right away.

You may be getting poor service, but one thing for sure I wouldn't worry about getting ripped off. That place has been in buisness too long to treat people like you that shitty.

Ok just to let you know we are not trying to give you the run around and we can only relay what the mfg tells us. I really dont think that this many threads on this board is needed but any way pick up a phone and give us a call my # is 1-800-456-0211 and my direct ext would be 353.. And just to give you a little info on your tranny it shipped on the 13th of this month so really when did you call last to check on this order.. Customer Service is our main goal and I promise you no one here is trying to give you the run around or take your money with no product in return....Thank you again for your business..

Thanks for the update.
It's just been frustrating trying to get info on this since I ordered.
And it didn't help that my other car is stuck outside in 0 degree weather while my vette is in pieces in the garage.
I hate scraping my windows in the morning.

Looks like good customer support to me. Sometimes I think it's just miss communicaton. In this day & age you want things to happen overnight & sometimes it just doesn't happen.
