Default Aftermarket fuel system plumbing...

I believe I have found everything I need for my fuel system. The only part I am unsure about is the outlet of the stock vette filter/reg. Anyone know exactly what I need?

Here are the components I am planning on using (please critique if needed).
Russel quick disconnect fuel rail fittings (1st pic) will mate into the summit -6AN black fittings (2nd pic) that will be attached to summit -6AN braided hose.

Am I missing anything? How hard is it to fit the hose to the fittings? I have never used anything like this..

Some people here might disagree with me, but I'd say go with Summit's Twist-tite hose and fittings. This hose is lighter, cheaper, and easier to work with than braided stainless hose.

I was looking at it too, but the main thing turning me away from that style is the stupid blue color of the hose. I know I can paint it, but its not something that is appealing to me.

How hard is it to work with this stuff in comparison to the twist-tie setup?

JEGS sells push loc hose that comes in black

The braided hose is not hard to work with. Just remember to put a drop of oil on the fitting before installing. Wrapping the braided hose with tape and cutting with a cut off wheel in a grinder or electric drill helps tremendously also. Once you have done one or two it will be easy.

I just did my system with the jegs push loc stuff and it was a breeze. I used it for Fuel, Oil and Trans fluid. one word of waning do not use jegs fuel filters I had 4 different ones I could not get a fitting to screw on. I finally just got a Russell and all was well.

If you go the braided hose route get a set of these: http://www.koultools.com/.
Trust me they will make your life easier, plus your hands will thank you. Did the
whole fuel system on my project in a few hours with them with no leaks the first time...

I'm curious. Has anyone seen a hose end fitting that instead of having a flared end, it has a fuel filter/rail interface? It would be like a one piece version of the two fittings shown in the original post.

you can get the push on fuel rail fittings in black. Summit sells them also. If you check Russells cayolog you can find th epart number.

Dorman sells a 12 inch piece of stainless tubing with the fuel rail fittings on each end. Thats what I used into my vette style filter regulator. http://www.dormanproducts.com/docume...eRepairKit.pdf

Carquest had the piece in stock.

I used Aeroquip AQP socketless and I think socketless is the best invention of the modern era. You will not be disappointed

I just went to a junkyard and got the end of the 3/8 hard line off a 2000 camaro from inside the engine bay. then used the flare to AN adaptor for jegs. or if you can not find a peice of tubing with the correct barb on it.. you can use 1/2 of a Dorman 800-155, which is a peice of 3/8" x 12" tubing that has the barb on both ends.
