HELP!! 5.3L Bolted to a TH350 tranny
Hey guys.... need some more help.
I am getting the Spacer for the Th350/Th400 to bolt to the 5.3 but can I use the 5.3 Flywheel? Or do I need to get a different flywheel?
I think I heard that the 5.3 truck flywheel can be modded to fit or will fit?
Let me know.
THANKS !!!

few options:
jw sells a adapter spacer that allows u to use a sbc flexplate
hughes sells a sfi flexplate with ls1 crank pattern and sbc diameter and
th350/400 bolt pattern tq converter
a 6.0 flexplate with spacer will work best and may be the cheepest if u dont plan on racing and turning over 7000rpm
i wouldnt use anything but sfi anymore, i seen what damage a flexplate that comes apart can cause

i have a 5.3 mated to a 700r4. all i used was the spacer. spacer will go on outside of flywheel, and if you are using GM small TC, then the bolts holes will already line up, no elongation needed. just make sure to space the converter from the flywheel right, the flexplate needs to still have some give for it to flex. good luck with the build!
