Default 1963 Chevy II 408" L92

I bought this car about 9 months ago as a roller, with all intentions of slapping my 408 in it out of my truck and running it for the summer. Well as we all know all project cars have hidden secrets some more than others.

When I first saw the car it was a SBC that ran 11's when I brought it home (on the trailer) I discovered I wouldn't take it to the Chucky's down the street.

Originally I thought it was just a car done in the '80's, low and behold it was a complete Cobbler Car.

I put the motor and trans in with a stripped down 05 truck harness. It is still drive by wire, injected, etc. The motor is a Lunati forged, stroked 408. It is 11.5:1 compression with a 232/236 cam. The heads are as cast L92 with Manely springs.

The trans right now is a Dr.Evil and the rear is a 9" with 4.10's and spool.

It has Mustang front suspension with drag struts and Qa1's and a rack and pinion. The rear is a mono leaf with sliders, adjustable shocks and slide-a-links.

The exhaust is Ls3 manifolds with 2.5" crimp bent with magnaflow mufflers.

There is still a lot I want to change including the paint yellow with gold flake isn't doing it for me. But it is almost ready to drive. And I did cut the tailpipes after the pix.

It the front suspension a full clip or a bolt-on affair? I don't see the normal firewall braces for the front clip if it is one.

Sorry for all the questions, I just picked up a 63' Wagon and i have a LQ4/TH400 and 9" that's going into it.

It's a cut up stock clip. The guy I bought it from had already cut it up so I figured it really didn't matter if I cut more.

Thank you. But I just want to drive it this summer then I will disassemble it media blast it and start from scratch. It will definitely have an aftermarket front end in it.

Nice! I am doing a 402 LS1 build for my 66 right now. I am currently min-tubbing it so I can get the 4-bar and 9" installed.

I'm guessing from your location you're from the Norwich area. I am as well. Planning on taking that thing to any local shows or cruises this spring? I'll keep my eye out for it if you're going to be.

The PO mini tubbed it before I bought it, I am going to clean up his work some when the time comes. There is room for a 275/60/15 though.

I actually live in Griswold, I will probably hit a few cruises but it will be out in the parking lot for the shows. I don't want "Sunshine" to be embarrassed.
