The swap is pretty easy, but if your new to it you have ALOT of reading to do. People can and will dish out some info, but your going to learn more what their talking about alot more if you read up on things.
What year 318 are you doing? I'm guessing the e36 body.? I have done the e30 325 body style and i am doing an e36 325is body style right now, but my e36 has a turbo setup the e30 is a nitrous setup.
This isnt going to help you much but here are pics of my build. I dont have a build thread on here on neither one of them. I dont have time to keep updating 50 build threads.

Good luck. Your going to have to do a few custom things, but not as much as a e30 body style....

Neither one of my cars did i use p/s or a/c. My e36 i was going to use both, but with a front mounted turbo, it wasnt going to happen.
But the a/c should be pretty easy. Just make a custom bracket and use all of your stock a/c parts. Just make the bracket so you can bolt it to the block and run your belt. Then you dont have to make custom lines, and everything still uses the OEM controlls.
