Default need to do crank angle relearn, but i have no brake signAL SWITCH

i have a 93 rx7 with a 01 camaro ss ls1/t56. i need to do a crank angle relearn but i have no wire hooked up to blue connector pin 33. in the instructions, it says the brake needs to be depressed (i would assume to get a signal) any idea how to do the relearn with out the wire? or know what signal that wire needs to see inorder to do the relearn?

thanks

After messing with this and talking to a lot of people, I just ended up deleting the code.

Not only is it foot brake, but hand brake too. The procedure is difficult without a TechII (vs. tuning software scanners).

if the engine has stock internals, the most likely scenario is that you lose misfire detection. This is not huge IMO.

Its more of an emissions requirement than anything else. There other misfire indicators, but any enthusiast should have an idea of whether there plant is misfiring or not .

Sorry to bring back a couple week old thread, but I am going through this same issue. Just want to confirm that it will not cause any problems to just delete the code? Vehicle runs great but is in limp mode because of the crank re-learn code. Thanks.

I think its park/neutral signal it wants. I ran into it on a PCM in my 89 caprice. I just shoved a pin in the PCM plug and grounded it to get the procedure done.

Brake signal is 12v+ when brake not pressed, OPEN circuit when pedal IS pressed. So I would assume its missing the park/neutral signal, not the brake signal. Then again, my brake signal WAS hooked up. So who knows.

misfire info is useful, especially if you want to figure out what cylinder is having the problem.

I did notice HP Tuners has a case learn procedure available on the 5.3L. Is this the same thing????

It does, but I'll be damned if I can get it to work on my 5.3 Jeep conversion.

I don't know if the F-Body Calibration is looking for the same thing as the truck calibration or not. On the trucks Give C1(Blue Connector) 32 and 34 a ground DURING the relearn procedure so that the PCM thinks it is in Park/Neutral.
