Which stall converter should I use?

Question Which stall converter should I use?

I have a LS1 with a 4l60E in my chevelle, Transgo recal kit, 3.42 gears, headers, intake. GM Perf HOT cam, 228 at 112 lobe sep. .525 lift. What stall range converter should i choose?

depends on what youre looking to do with it, cruise it, race it, both?? what size rear tire? how much does it weigh?

Mainly street use, 26'' tall tire, 3700lbs.

being that heavy you may need more gear IMO, but if youre just gonna cruise it id say maybe a 2800-3200stall. id call dave@yank perfomance, he got me exactly what i needed first try.

Well I have a nice stock one. There is a local guy over here that builds converters for pretty cheap.

Ok, thanks for the info, I was prob going to change the gears to 3.73 in the future...
